As a woman, I know what we go through growing up female and navigating the world day to day. I also know how vulnerable it can be to go to therapy. In my graduate training we were required to undergo our own healing process. Counselors would be ill prepared to help others heal if we hadn't experienced sitting on the couch ourselves. In the middle of that process, I thought I wouldn't have chosen to do this healing had I known how hard it would be. Healing is like resetting broken bones. But the gifts and freedom I found on the other side of that process are priceless and my life is forever changed for the better.
It’s my personal mission to help as many women as I can do this type of healing, to learn to tune into their inner voices, identify what they want and need, and be empowered to act on that. I’ve been working with females for over a decade to heal past trauma, be more confident in themselves, improve their relationships and so much more. Find Nikki's work beyond therapy here.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), I received my degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Southern Maine.
Nikki accepts the following insurances: Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem Maine Health, Aenta, Cigna, Community Health Options, and Martin's Point.

Maria is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who finished her Master's Degree at Bridgewater State University in 20212. I believe everyone has a story to tell. As a therapist, I have learned to find the beauty in being human and appreciate the growth that can be found through therapy. As a mother and wife I know what it’s like to manage raising kids while working and attending graduate school, caring for aging parents, and coping with challenges that are part of life. Change is hard and I bring my own life experience plus years of experience as a therapist to my work with clients. I enjoy working with women to navigate changes and stressful transitions in their lives. I have worked worked with everyone from children to aging adults. I also offer couples counseling.

Lisa Keller, LMSW-cc (she/her)

I help women who doubt their own strength and abilities, who are overwhelmed and challenged by stress, depression, anxiety, or trauma and struggling with their self worth. I build relationships with women and supports them in finding their own strength and resilience. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than watching women realize that they are stronger than they believe and that they can heal.
As a therapist, I've learned how trauma and anxiety impact the body, mind, and spirit and finds it’s helpful to share information about these impacts with clients. I will teach you how the events of your life have impacted your nervous system, how to recognize this, and how to circumvent these responses with research based approaches.
Lisa danced when she was younger, ballet, gymnastics, tap, and jazz. She has been lucky enough to have traveled all over the country and abroad for work and that work has afforded her the opportunity to meet and work with celebrities such as Martha Stewart, Anthony Bourdain, Ming Tsai, Masaharu Morimoto, the fishermen from Deadliest Catch, Wayne Rogers, and many more.
She two dogs, Lady and Chase, both labs who are going on 15 and loves to read.

Laura Balin, LCSW (she/her)

I offer a solution focused, client centered approach to therapy for women who’ve experienced trauma, anxiety, or depression, dealing with low self-worth, or struggling with life stressors. I look forward to learning more about you, and will always view you as the expert in your own life. I understand how challenging it can be to be vulnerable and how much courage it takes to reach out. I bring an emotionally safe and compassionate approach to therapy while also challenging my clients to ensure they experience the progress they want. I utilize trauma-informed, body oriented therapies including art and narrative therapy, somatic therapy, CBT, DBT, and other modalities.
Laura just moved to Maine from Washington state. She loves being outdoors, and hiking with her partner and dog Buddy. Living in Washington state has allowed her to hike mountains and visit scenery that she would only see in photos growing up. Since she was 16, she has been actively practicing yoga and somatic healing practices, as she believes the body carries a lot of emotion and great healing has come out of these practices. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with family.

Bash the Therapy Dog in Training

Bash is a half North American half German shepherd pup who is in training to become a therapy dog. Therapy dogs are different than service dogs in that they work with multiple clients. Bash will be working with Nikki providing emotional support to clients in sessions as well as eventually volunteering at hospitals, nursing homes, and other locations. Bash is super sweet and his heart is bigger than his giant paws. He loves people, belly scratches, and doing tricks for treats.
We understand not everyone is comfortable with a dog in their session so if you are interested in working with Nikki, just let her know you'd prefer not to have Bash in your sessions.
